Indeed, (there) is for you an example good in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we (are) disassociated from you and from what you worship from besides Allah. We have denied you, and has appeared between us and between you enmity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah Alone." Except (the) saying (of) Ibrahim to his father, "Surely I ask forgiveness for you, but not I have power for you from Allah of anything. Our Lord, upon You we put our trust, and to You we turn, and to You (is) the final return.
Indeed, you have had a good example in Abraham and those who followed him, when they said unto their [idolatrous] people: "Verily, we are quit of you and of all that you worship instead of God: we deny the truth of whatever you believe; and between us and you there has arisen enmity and hatred, to last until such a time as you come to believe in the One God!" The only exception was Abraham's saying to his father "I shall indeed pray for [God's] forgiveness for thee, although I have it not in my power to obtain anything from God in thy behalf." [And Abraham and his followers prayed:] "O our Sustainer! In Thee have we placed our trust, and unto Thee do we turn: for unto Thee is all journeys' end
There is a goodly pattern for you in Abraham and those with him, when they told their folk: Lo! we are guiltless of you and all that ye worship beside Allah. We have done with you. And there hath arisen between us and you hostility and hate for ever until ye believe in Allah only - save that which Abraham promised his father (when he said): I will ask forgiveness for thee, though I own nothing for thee from Allah - Our Lord! In Thee we put our trust, and unto Thee we turn repentant, and unto Thee is the journeying
There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone": But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from Allah." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal
You already have an excellent example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We totally dissociate ourselves from you and ˹shun˺ whatever ˹idols˺ you worship besides Allah. We reject you. The enmity and hatred that has arisen between us and you will last until you believe in Allah alone.” The only exception is when Abraham said to his father, “I will seek forgiveness for you,˹” adding, “but˺ I cannot protect you from Allah at all.” ˹The believers prayed,˺ “Our Lord! In You we trust. And to You we ˹always˺ turn. And to You is the final return.
There has already been a good example for you in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "we disown you and what you worship besides God. We reject you, and there will be animosity and hatred forever between us and you until you believe in God alone." Except for Abraham’s words to his father, "I will ask forgiveness for you, though I cannot protect you from God”. “Our Lord, in You we trust, and to You, we repent. To You is the ultimate destination.
Indeed you have an excellent example in Abraham and those who followed him, when they said to their people, We disown you and whatever you worship besides God. We renounce you. Enmity and hatred shall endure between us and you, until you believe in the one God. [The exception was] when Abraham said to his father, I shall indeed pray for [God's] forgiveness for you; although I do not have it in my power to obtain anything from God on your behalf. They prayed, O our Lord, in You we have placed our trust and to You we turn in repentance and to You is the final return
Indeed, there is for you a good example in Ibrahim and those with him when they said to their people: Surely we are clear of you and of what you serve besides Allah; we declare ourselves to be clear of you, and enmity and hatred have appeared between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone-- but not in what Ibrahim said to his father: I would certainly ask forgiveness for you, and I do not control for you aught from Allah-- Our Lord! on Thee do we rely, and to Thee do we turn, and to Thee is the eventual coming
Surely, there had been a fairer, good example for you in Abraham and those with him when they said to their folk: Truly, we are released from obligation to you and whatever you worship other than God. We disbelieved in you. Shown itself between us and between you was enmity and hatred eternally until you believe in One God, but for Abraham saying to his father: Truly, I will ask for forgiveness for thee and I possess not anything for thee before God. Our Lord! In Thee we put our trust and to Thee we were penitent and to Thee is the Homecoming!
You have a fine model in Abraham and those with him when they told their folk: "We are innocent of you and anything you serve instead of God. We disown you, and hostility and hatred have set in between us forever, unless you believe in God Alone (except for Abraham´s statement to his father: ´I´ll seek forgiveness for you, even though I do not control anything at all with God for you´)." Our Lord, on You do we rely, to You do we refer, and towards You ties the goal!
Indeed an excellent example has been set for you in Abraham and those with him. When they said to their people: “Surely, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah. We reject you. Hostility and hatred shall appear between us and between you forever until you believe in Allah alone.” Except the saying of Abraham to his father: “Surely, I will ask for forgiveness (from Allah) for you, but I have no power to get anything for you from Allah.” (They prayed): “Our Lord! In You (alone) we put our trust, to You (alone) we turn in repentance, and to You (alone) is the final return.
There is indeed a beautiful example for you in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “Truly we are quit of you and of all that you worship apart from God. We have rejected you, and enmity and hatred have arisen between us and you forever, till you believe in God alone”; save for Abraham’s saying to his father, “I shall assuredly ask forgiveness for you, though I have no power to avail you aught from God.” “Our Lord, in Thee do we trust, unto Thee do we turn in repentance, and unto Thee is the journey’s end
There has been a good example set for you by Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We disassociate ourselves from you and from whatever you worship besides God. We renounce you. Enmity and hatred have surfaced between us and you, indefinitely, until you believe in God alone.” Except for Abraham’s promise to his father: “I will seek forgiveness for you, but I am powerless to protect you from God.” “Our Lord, in You we place our trust, and to You we turn in repentance, and to You is the final return.
You have had an excellent example in Abraham and those with him; when they said to their people, 'We are quit of you, and what you worship apart from God. We denounce you. Enmity and hatred has surfaced between us and you, forever, until you believe in God alone.' Except for the words of Abraham to his father, 'I will ask forgiveness for you, though I have no power from God to do anything for you.' 'Our Lord, in You we trust, and to You we repent, and to You is the ultimate resort
Indeed, there had been for you Uswatun Hasanatun (an ideal life-pattern) in Ibrahim and the people who (were) with him when they said to their nation: “Verily, we are detached from you and from what you worship besides Allah. We have rejected you and there has started between us and between you hostility and hatred for ever — until you develop Faith in Allah — in His Oneness— excluding the statement of Ibrahim regarding his father: 'Surely, I will ask for forgiveness (from Allah) for you', although I do not own any thing from Allah for your benefit. (Then Ibrahim invoked Allah thus:) “Our Nourisher-Sustainer! In You we have put (our) trust, and to You we have turned (in repentance), and to You (is) the final Return
You have an excellent example in Abraham and his companions. They said to their people plainly: "We are clear of you and your gods, whom you worship besides Allah. We renounce you. Enmity and hate shall reign between us forever until you believe in Allah, the One and Only God." But do not emulate what Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for your forgiveness, although I have no power to get anything for you from Allah." Their collective prayer was: "Our Lord! In You we have put our trust, to You we turn in repentance and to You is our final goal
You have already had a fair example in Ibrahim (Abraham) and the ones with him as they said to their people, "Surely we are completely quit of you and whatever you worship apart from Allah. We disbelieve in you, and between you and us enmity has appeared, and abhorrence forever, until you believe in Allah alone." Except that Ibrahim said to his father, "Indeed I will definitely ask forgiveness for you; and in no way do I possess anything for you from Allah." "Our Lord, in (Literally: no You) You we trust, and to You we turn penitent, and to You is the Destiny
Abraham and those with him are the best examples for you to follow. They told the people, "We have nothing to do with you and with those whom you worship besides God. We have rejected you. Enmity and hatred will separate us forever unless you believe in One God." Abraham told his father, "I shall ask forgiveness for you only, but I shall not be of the least help to you before God"
Indeed, there is an excellent example for you in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said to their people, .We disown you and what you worship instead of Allah. We disbelieve in you. Enmity and hatred has arisen between us and you forever, unless you believe in Allah alone.,__ but (his example is) not (to be followed) in what Ibrahim said to his father, .I will pray to my Lord for your forgiveness, and I have no power from Allah (to do any thing) for you. __ .O our Lord, in You alone we trust, and to You alone we turn for help, and to You is the final return
Indeed there is an Excellent Pattern for you in Abraham, and his companions. They said to their folk, "Verily, we stay clear of you and of what you worship instead of Allah. We denounce you and between us and you has arisen distance and aversion until you believe in Allah alone." The only exception was Abraham's saying to his father, "I will indeed pray for your forgiveness, although I have no power to achieve anything from Allah on your behalf." Then he prayed, "Our Lord! In You we place our trust, unto You we turn, and unto You is the Final Destination. (9:113), (14:41), (19:47), (33:21), (58:22)
There has been an excellent example for you in Ibraheem, and those with him. They said to their people, "(We hereby declare that) we are free of all guilt concerning you, and the gods you worship other than Allah. We renounce you (and your faith). There has appeared between us hatred, and hostility forever, until you come to believe in Allah (exclusively)." Ibraheem´s remarks to his father was an exception. (He had said), "I will seek forgiveness for you from Allah. (But) I lack the authority to get anything (at all) for you from Allah." (Ibraheem turned to Allah and said), "Our Lord! Upon You we rely and towards You we turn in repentance! Towards You is our journey back."
Indeed for you, there is, an excellent example in Ibrahim (Abraham) and those with him, when they said to their people: "Verily, we have rejected you, and whatever you worship besides Allah. We have disbelieved you, and there has arisen, between us and you, a hostility and hatred for ever— Unless you believe in Allah and Him Alone." But (it was) not so when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father: "Verily, I will pray for forgiveness for you, though I have no power (to get) anything on your behalf from Allah." (They prayed) "Our Lord! In You do we trust, and to You do we turn in repentance, and to You is (our) final return
There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allah . We have denied you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham to his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not [power to do] for you anything against Allah . Our Lord, upon You we have relied, and to You we have returned, and to You is the destination
There has been a good example set for you by Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are innocent from you and what you serve besides God. We have rejected you, and it appears that there shall be animosity and hatred between us and you until you believe in God alone." Except for the saying of Abraham to his father: "I will ask forgiveness for you, but I do not possess any power to protect you from God." "Our Lord, we have put our trust in You, and we turn to You, and to You is the final destiny."
You have a good example in Abraham and his companions, when they said to their people, ‘We disown you and what you worship besides God! We renounce you! Until you believe in God alone, the enmity and hatred that has arisen between us will endure!’––except when Abraham said to his father, ‘I will pray for forgiveness for you though I cannot protect you from God’––[they prayed]
Surely there hath been an excellent pattern for you in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said Unto their people; verily we are quit of you and of that which ye worship beside Allah; we renounce you; and surely there hath appeared between us and you hostility and hatred for evermore until ye believe in Allah alone, - except the saying of Ibrahim Unto his father: surely I shall beg forgiveness for thee, and I have no power with Allah for thee at all. Our Lord! in Thee we put our trust, and Unto Thee we turn, and Unto Thee is the journeying
You have an excellent model in Abraham and those who were with him, when he said to his people: "We are through with you, and those you worship other than God. We reject you. Enmity and hate have come between you and us for ever, unless you believe in God the One," -- except for what he said to his father: "I shall ask forgiveness for you, but I have no power to prevail with God for you." "O Lord, we place our trust in You, and turn to You in penitence, and to You is our returning
You have an excellent example in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said to their people, ´We wash our hands of you and all that you worship apart from Allah, and we reject you. Between us and you there will be enmity and hatred for ever unless and until you have iman in Allah alone.´ Except for Ibrahim´s words to his father: ´I will ask forgiveness for you but I have no power to help you in any way against Allah.´ ´Our Lord, we have put our trust in You. and have made tawba to You. You are our final destination.
Indeed you have had an excellent example to follow in Abraham and those in his company, when they said to their (idolatrous) people (who were their kin): "We are quit of you and whatever you worship besides God. We have rejected you (in your polytheism), and there has arisen between us and you enmity and hate forever until you believe in God alone (as the only One to be worshipped." (So it was) except for Abraham’s saying to his father: "I most surely will plead for God’s forgiveness for you, though I have no power at all to do anything for you against God." (And their prayer was): "O Our Lord! It is in You that We have put our trust, and it is to You that we turn in utmost sincerity and devotion, and to You is the homecoming
There is certainly a good exemplar for you in Abraham and those who were with him, when they said to their own people, ‘Indeed we repudiate you and whatever you worship besides Allah. We disavow you, and between you and us there has appeared enmity and hate for ever, unless you come to have faith in Allah alone,’ except for Abraham’s saying to his father, ‘I will surely plead forgiveness for you, though I cannot avail you anything against Allah.’ ‘Our Lord! In You do we put our trust, and to You do we turn penitently, and toward You is the destination
Indeed, there is for you a good example in Abraham and those with him when they said to their people, "Surely we are clear of you and of what you serve besides Allah; we have rejected you, and enmity and hostility have appeared between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone. But not in what Abraham said to his father, "I will pray forgiveness for you, but I control nothing for you from Allah." (They prayed,) "Our Lord! On Thee do we rely, and to Thee do we turn repentant, and to Thee is our final goal.
There has been a good example for you in Abraham and those with him when they said to their people: “We are free of (and have nothing to do with) you and whatever you serve besides God, we disbelieve in you, and an unending enmity and hatred has appeared between us and you until you believe in God alone.” Except Abraham's word to his father (when he said:) “I shall ask forgiveness for you, although I do not have power of anything for you from God.” Our Lord, we trust in You and we turn to You (in repentance) and the final return is to You.
There is for you an excellent example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We are clear of you and of whatever you worship besides God. We have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred forever, unless you believe in God, and Him alone”. Except when Abraham said to his father, “I will pray for forgiveness for you, though I have no power on your behalf from God, “Our Lord, in You do we trust, and to You do we turn in repentance, to You is our final goal.
There is a beautiful role model for you in Ibrahim and those with him; when they said to their people, “We disown you and those you worship beside Allah; we reject you; there will be hostility and hatred between us until you believe in Allah alone.” Except for what Ibrahim said to his father: “I will seek forgiveness for you, although I can’t protect you from Allah in the slightest. Our Lord, we rely on You, and we turn devoutly to You, and the final return is to You
You have a good example in Abraham and his companions: they said to their people: "We totally dissociate ourselves from you, and from the deities that you worship instead of Allah. We renounce you and there has come to be enmity and hatred between us and you until you believe in Allah, the One True God." (But you may not emulate) Abraham´s saying to his father: "Certainly I will ask pardon for you, although I have no power over Allah to obtain anything on your behalf." (And Abraham and his companions prayed): "Our Lord, in You have we put our trust, and to You have we turned, and to You is our ultimate return
There has been a good example set for you by Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are innocent from you and what you serve besides God. We have rejected you, and it appears that there shall be animosity and hatred between us and you until you believe in God alone." Except for the saying of Abraham to his father: "I will ask forgiveness for you, but I do not possess any power to protect you from God." "Our Lord, we have put our trust in You, and we turn to You, and to You is the final destiny.
You did surely have a good example in Abraham and those who followed him, when they said to their people, "We have indeed nothing to do with you and with what you worship besides Allah. We renounce you. And between us and you enmity and hatred has arisen, to last until such a time as you come to believe in Allah, the One and Only! — Abraham's saying to his father, `I shall indeed pray for Allah's forgiveness for you, and I have it not in my power to obtain anything from Allah for you' being an exception — Our Lord! In You do we trust, and to You do we turn, and to You is the journey's end!"
Undoubtedly, there was a good example to follow for you in Ibrahim and his companions, when they said to their people, 'undoubtedly' we are quit of you and that you worship beside Allah, we deny you', and there has appeared enmity and hatred between us and you for ever; until you believe in one Allah, but the saying of Ibrahim to his father 'I will surely ask forgiveness for you, and I have no authority for your any favour against Allah. O our Lord! In You do we put our trust and to You do we turn, and to You is the final return.
A good example has been set for you by Abraham and those with him. They said to their people, "We disown you and the idols that you worship besides GOD. We denounce you, and you will see nothing from us except animosity and hatred until you believe in GOD ALONE." However, a mistake was committed by Abraham when he said to his father, "I will pray for your forgiveness, but I possess no power to protect you from GOD." "Our Lord, we trust in You, and submit to You; to You is the final destiny.
You have a good example in Abraham and those with him. They said to their nation: 'We are quit of you, and that which you worship, other than Allah. We disbelieve you, enmity and hatred has shown itself between us for ever until you believe in Allah alone. ' Except that Abraham said to his father: 'Surely, I shall supplicate to ask for forgiveness for you although I have no power to do anything for you with Allah. ' ' Our Lord, in You we have put our trust; to You we turn, and to You is the arrival
Indeed there is for you a good example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: We are clear of you and of that which you serve besides Allah. We disbelieve in you and there has arisen enmity and hatred between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone -- except Abraham’s saying to his sire: I would ask forgiveness for thee, and I control naught for thee from Allah. Our Lord, on Thee do we rely, and to Thee do we turn, and to Thee is the eventual coming
A good example/model (to follow) had been for you in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their nation: "We are innocent/separating from you, and from what you worship from other than God, we disbelieved with you, and the animosity and the intense hatred appeared between us and between you (for) ever (E), until you believe with (in) God alone." Except Abraham's word/statement to his father: "I will ask for forgiveness for you, and I do not own/possess for you from God from a thing, our Lord, on You we relied depended (on) , and to You we returned/repented , and to You (is) the end/destination."
An excellent example has been set for you by Abraham and his companions. They said plainly to their people: “We have nothing to do with you and the idols that you worship instead of your Creator. We denounce you. There will be nothing between us except animosity and hate; until you believe in Oneness of Lord.” Abraham (out of love for his father) made a mistake and exempted his father saying: “I will pray to Lord to forgive you. However, I have no power to protect you from God, if He does not grant my wish.” Their prayer was: “Our Lord, we put our trust only in You, we ask You and only You for help and we know that one day we will return to You.”
Indeed in Ibrahim, and those along with him, lay a good example for you follow - when they said to their people, “Indeed we are unconcerned with you and all what you worship besides Allah; we reject you, and between us and you has surfaced enmity and hatred for ever until you accept faith in the One Allah” – except the saying of Ibrahim to his father, “I will surely seek forgiveness for you, and I do not possess any power to benefit you against Allah”; “O our Lord! We have relied only upon You, and towards You only we have inclined and only towards You is the return”
Indeed there is a good example for you in Abraham and those who were with him when they said to their people, `We have nothing to do with you and with that which you worship beside ALLAH. We disbelieve all that you believe in. There has become manifest enmity and hatred between us and you for ever, until you believe in ALLAH alone' - except that Abraham said to his father, `I will surely ask forgiveness for thee, though I have no power to do aught for thee against ALLAH.' Their prayer was: `Our Lord, in thee do we put our trust and to thee do we turn in repentance, and towards thee is the final return
Indeed, in Ibrahim (Abraham) and his companions there is an excellent example for you (to follow), when they said to their people: ‘We are utterly weary of (and cut off from) you and the idols that you worship apart from Allah; we have openly rejected you all. The enmity, hatred and malice between us and you have become evident forever until you believe in Allah, the One.’ But Ibrahim’s (Abraham’s) saying to his (foster) father: ‘I shall certainly pray for your forgiveness,’ (was just a promise made to him well before, which he fulfilled and gave him a reminder as well saying:) ‘I do not possess anything for you before Allah (owing to your disbelief and idol-worship.’ Then he separated from his people, praying:) ‘O our Lord, we put our trust in You alone, and we turn in repentance to You alone, and (all) have to return to You alone
There is indeed a noble example for you (to follow) in Abraham and his companions. Behold! they said to their people, `We have nothing to do with you and We disown that you worship apart from Allah. We disapprove of all that you say and do. A long lasting (type of) enmity and rancour has arisen and become apparent between you and us, no doubt. (It will last) till you believe in Allah alone.' But (you have no example to emulate) in the words of Abraham to his sire (when he said), `I will surely ask forgiveness for you from Allah though I can do nothing against (the will of) Allah.' (Abraham and his companions also prayed to their Lord), `Our Lord! in You we put our trust, and to You alone do we turn (in repentance), and towards You alone is the (final) return
Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibrahim (Abraham) and those with him, when they said to their people: "Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah, we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and hatred for ever, until you believe in Allah Alone," except the saying of Ibrahim (Abraham) to his father: "Verily, I will ask for forgiveness (from Allah) for you, but I have no power to do anything for you before Allah ." Our Lord! In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to You (Alone) we turn in repentance, and to You (Alone) is (our) final Return
You have had a good example in Abraham, and those with him, when they said to their people, 'We are quit of you and that you serve, apart from God. We disbelieve in you, and between us and you enmity has shown itself, and hatred for ever, until you believe in God alone. (Except that Abraham said unto his father, 'Certainly I shall ask pardon for thee; but I have no power to do aught for thee against God.') 'Our Lord, in Thee we trust; to Thee we turn; to Thee is the homecoming
Ye have an excellent pattern in Abraham, and those who were with him, when they said unto their people, verily we are clear of you, and of the idols which ye worship, besides God: We have renounced you; and enmity and hatred is begun between us and you for ever, until ye believe in God alone: Except Abraham's saying unto his father, verily I will beg pardon for thee; but I cannot obtain ought of God in thy behalf. O Lord, in thee do we trust, and unto thee are we turned; and before thee shall we be assembled hereafter
Ye had a good example in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, 'Verily, we are clear of you and of what ye serve beside God. We disbelieve in you: and between us and you is enmity and hatred begun for ever, until ye believe in God alone!' But not the speech of Abraham to his father, 'Verily, I will ask forgiveness for thee, though I cannot control aught from God!' O our Lord! on thee do we rely! and unto thee we turn! and unto thee the journey is
A good example had ye in Abraham, and in those who followed him, when they said to their people, "Verily, we are clear of you, and of what ye worship beside God: we renounce you: and between us and hath hatred and enmity sprung up for ever, until ye believe in God alone." Yet imitate not the language of Abraham to his Father, "I will pray for thy forgiveness, but not aught shall I obtain for thee from God." O our Lord! in thee do we trust! to thee do we turn! to thee we shall come back at the last
You have a good example in Abraham and those who followed him. They said to their people: ‘We disown you and the idols which you worship besides God. We renounce you: enmity and hate shall reign between us until you believe in God alone.‘ But do not emulate the words of Abraham to his father: ‘I shall implore forgiveness for you, although I can in no way protect you from God.‘
Indeed there is a most excellent model for you in the person of Abraham and in those who were with him when they said to their people, “We indeed have disavowed you and all that you worship besides Allah. We have rejected you and between us and you has come to be the enmity and the hatred forever until you believe in Allah alone.” Except the word [of promise] of Abraham for his father saying, “I most certainly seek forgiveness for you but I have no control over anything for you from Allah. O Our Lord! In You, we put our trust and unto You we turn back and unto You is the place of final coming.”
There is an excellent pattern for you in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their own people: “Indeed, we disown you and the idols which you worship (& venerate) besides Allâh. We renounce you, and there has arisen between us animosity and hatred forever until you Adhere to Monotheistic Faith”- except the saying of Abraham to his father: "Indeed, I will pray for your Forgiveness, but I have no power to do aught for you against the (the punishment of) Allâh (if you persist in associating partners with Him). They prayed: "Our Lord, We depend on you with full trust. And unto You Alone do we tum in repentance. And for unto You is all journeys' end.
There is a beautiful example for you in Ibrahim (Abraham) and those with him when they said to their people: we are free of you and what you serve besides Allah, we reject you, and enmity and hatred will forever exist between us until you believe in Allah alone; except for Ibrahim (Abraham) saying to his father: I will ask forgiveness for you, and I cannot avail you the least before Allah; our Lord, on You we rely and to You we repent and to You is the journey.
An excellent example for you to follow is that of Abraham and those with him. They said to their people, “We are distinct from you and whatever you worship besides Allah. We have rejected you. Animosity and disgust have arisen between us and you forever unless you believe in Allah alone.” But Abraham said to his father, “I will pray for forgiveness for you, although I have no power to get anything on your behalf from Allah.” “Our Lord, in You we trust, and to You we repent. To You is our final goal.
Surely, there has always been an excellent role model for youpl in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people, “We disown you and what you worship apart from Allah. We have disbelieved in you, and enmity and hatred have surfaced between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone.” Except for the words of Abraham to his father, “I will ask forgiveness for you, though I cannot protect you from Allah.” “Our Lord, in You we have placed our trust, and to You we have turned penitent, for to You is the destiny.
You have a fine model in Abraham and those with him when they told their folk: "We are innocent of you and anything you serve instead of Allah (God). We disown you, and hostility and hatred have set in between us for ever, unless you believe in Allah (God) Alone except for Abraham's statement to his father: 'I'll seek forgiveness for you, even though I do not control anything at all with Allah (God) for you'." Our Lord, on You do we rely, to You do we refer, and towards You ties the destiny!
There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their kinfolk, "Surely, we are innocent from you and from whatever you worship without Allah. We have disbelieved in you, and there has appeared between us and you the enmity and the detest forever until you believe in Allah alone" except for the saying of Abraham for his father, "I will surely ask forgiveness for you, and I have not owned, for you anything from Allah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied on and to You we are penitent, and to You is the destiny.
There is an excellent example for you in Abraham and those who followed him. When they said to their people, “Indeed, we are far from you and those you serve besides Allah! We reject and refuse you until you believe in the Oneness of Allah.” Except to his father, Abraham said, “I shall indeed ask forgiveness for you, but I do not possess the power for anything else from Allah (besides praying for you).” Then they prayed, “Our Rabb, in You we have placed our trust and to You we have turned, the final return is to You!”
There is indeed a good example for you to follow, in Ibrahim and those with him when they said to their people, “We are free of you and that which you worship besides Allah, we do not believe with you, and enmity and hatred has become manifest between us and you for ever, unless you (too) believe in Allah Who is One,” but for the word of Ibrahim to his father, “I will definitely ask protective forgiveness for you though I do not control for you anything from Allah. Our Fosterer! in You do we put our trust and towards You do we turn and towards You is the destination.
But you people have had in Ibrahim and his followers a good example and a distinguished quality of action and conduct that induces imitation. They said to their people: "we are certainly innocent of your ills and of your false gods you worship besides Allah". "We refuse to recognize you or submit to you, and enmity and hatred between us shall forever prevail until you have abandoned idolatry and submitted to the authority of Allah and until you have sincerely believed in Him alone with works imprinted with wisdom and piety". Therefore do not confuse the issue and fail to distinguish between invoking Allah's forgiveness on behalf of your dead, and the supplication made by Ibrahim on behalf of his father. Ibrahim had promised his father, earlier, he would invoke on his behalf Allah's forgiveness albeit he could not guarantee the outcome. But when he realized that his father remained a faithful adherent to Paganism, he at once rejected him and declared his innocence of his fatherhood. And when Ibrahim and his followers resolved to quit their people and their homeland they prayed: "Our Creator, in You we trust, and we repent the disagreeable time we spent with our people, and we repent what we might have done or left undone, and You are the end and the purpose for which we are destined. "
Certainly, there was for you a good example in Abraham and those who were with him, when they said to their people, 'Indeed, we are free of you and of what you serve besides God. We have disbelieved in you; and enmity and hatred has appeared between us and you forever, until you believe in God alone.' Except the speech of Abraham to his father, 'Surely, I will definitely seek forgiveness for you, and I do not have power of anything for you from God.' Our Lord! On You We have relied and to You we have repented and to You is the destination.
There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides God: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in God and Him alone": But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from God." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trus t, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal
Indeed, (there) is for you an example good in Ibrahim and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed, we (are) disassociated from you and from what you worship besides Allah. We have denied you, and has appeared between us and between you enmity and hatred forever until you believe in Allah Alone." Except (the) saying (of) Ibrahim to his father, "Surely I ask forgiveness for you, but not I have power for you from Allah of anything. Our Lord, upon You we put our trust, and to You we turn, and to You (is) the final return
